I wrote to the Mexican department of tourism and asked about LA Bay. They wrote back saying that the government was selling the area to independant resort developers. It appears to me that the town is being cut off in order to get the people out of the area.
I thought you might want to know about this for your URL. This is such a shame. As a kid, this area was my Disneyland.
