How to configure Putty

After you have downloaded Putty, move the file   putty##.exe   to a permanent place, e.g.,   c:\putty.exe
Double-click on this file to execute it.
In the block labeled   HostName   enter:   math.ucr.edu    [ example 1]
Select   Protocol: SSH    [example 2]
In the block labeled   Saved Sessions   enter:   math    [ example 3]
Select   Window - Appearance - Font: Change...    [example 4]
Select   Fixedsys - Regular - 9    [example 5]
Select   Session - Save    [example 6]

To connect to your account on math.ucr.edu, double-click on the Stored Session:   math   [example 7]

You can also create a shortcut to a stored session by entering the Target as   "c:\putty.exe @math"
