Servers
The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Riverside
currently operates a clustered time-sharing system comprised of the following:
- Single 440MHz processors with 512MB of memory operating Solaris 8.
- Single 440MHz processors with 256MB of memory operating Solaris 8.
- Single 400MHz processors with 256MB of memory operating Solaris 8.
This machine is used for Math courses.
- Dual processor with 128MB of memory operating Solaris 2.5. This machine
is used for Math courses.
Laboratory
The Department of Mathematics maintains a computing lab for
faculty and graduate students of mathematics.

Equipment:
Sun Blade 100s 500MHz processors, 128MB of memory
operating Solaris 8, with sunPCi cards operating Windows 98SE.
Intel-based PCs 2GHz processors with varying amounts
of memory and capability, operating Windows 2K and Debian GNU/Linux.
Apple PowerPC G4 867MHz processor with 256MB of
memory
HP 4100N Printer.
