Click the box to download Callisto, a piece I made using Greg Egan's QuasiMusic program, which translates quasicrystals into sound. Except for the fade-in and fade-out, I only used 'translation-invariant processing' to generate this from the output of this program. So, no moment-to-moment fiddling around, or 'bursts of inspiration', were used to make this music: the melody and background are all generated from a certain 1-dimensional slice of a 7-dimensional hypercubic lattice. You can see this slice by looking at "demo 4" on Egan's program.
