Prerequisite: MATH 9A (or MATH 9HA) with a grade of "C-" or better.
Note: Chapters 1 through 3 of the above textbook are required knowledge.
Major Exams: 1st midterm on Monday, 10/24/2005.

Note: All exams will be comprehensive. Calculators may not be used during exams.
Course Components:   300 points for homework assignments and quizzes,
400 points for both midterm exams (200 points each),
300 points for the final exam.
Grading: 900-1000 points are required for the grade A,
800-899 points are required for the grade B,
700-799 points are required for the grade C,
600-699 points are required for the grade D.
Attendance Policy: Students are expected to attend all lectures and all meetings of their discussion section. Work missed due to absence or lateness cannot be made up. In particular, no late work will be accepted and there will be no make-up exams.
