Chapter 3 -- Differentiation
Chapter 4 -- Applications of Derivatives
 
Prerequisite: MATH 005 with a grade of "C-" or better.
 
Major Exams: Midterm exam on Thursday, 11/01/2007, during regular lecture.
Final exam on Friday, 12/14/2007 from 8:00am-11:00am.
Note: All exams will be comprehensive. Calculators may not be used during exams.
 
Course Components:   400 points for daily homework assignments and quizzes,
300 points for the midterm exam,
300 points for the final exam.
 
Grading: 900-1000 points are required for the grade A,
800-899 points are required for the grade B,
700-799 points are required for the grade C,
600-699 points are required for the grade D.
 
Attendance Policy: Students are expected to attend every lecture and every meeting of their discussion section. Homework assignments are due at the beginning of each lecture. Quizzes may be given unannounced, during the lectures or the discussion sections. Work missed due to absence, lateness, or late enrollment cannot be made up. In particular, no late work will be accepted and there will be no make-up exams or quizzes.
