About Me:
I am an associate professor of teaching, mathematics at the University of California, Riverside. I grew up in Iowa, received my undergraduate degrees in both mathematics and economics from University of Chicago, received my Ph.D. in mathematics from University of Michigan, and was a visiting faculty member of the mathematics department at Northwestern University before coming to UCR.
Each quarter, I run a seminar on research in mathematics education where we read and discuss research articles. Here is the seminar website.
I created and maintain the website for the Fractals, Dynamics, & Mathematical Physics Group at UCR. This contains a calendar of seminars held by this group. It also contains a list of upcoming conferences in these areas.
