About Me

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Riverside interested in geometric analysis, differential geometry, and their applications to low dimensional topology, graph theory, and physics. From the academic years 2014-2017, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Kansas State University. I completed my PhD in Mathematics in 2014 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the direction of Nathan Dunfield.

Prior to my time as a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I grew up the metro Atlanta area and completed undergraduate degrees at Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State. Mathematics is both my career and my favorite hobby, but I also try to exercise regularly and, on occasion, play tennis or the guitar.
